Architexture

 

Architexture is a husband and wife design team consisting of John and Christina Moncke.

John Moncke

John has extensive fashion industry and entrepreneurship experience. He is currently the Vice President of Retail Brand and Stadium Revenue for Sporting Kansas City. He was recognized for his fashion forward approach to sports apparel with the award of Major League Soccer (MLS) Merchandiser of the Year in 2012,. In 2013 he was responsible for the design and development of both the new Primary Sporting KC jersey and the highly coveted Sporting KC Third jersey. He has worked in the corporate offices of one of America's largest retailers, as well as in his own small businesses. John was a buyer and merchandise planner for Target Corporation's high-end department store division; Marshall Field's, Dayton's, and Hudson's. His many interests in design range from architecture, industrial design, and of course, fashion.

Christina Moncke
Christina has a strong background in the fashion industry, as well. Her responsibilities at Architexture spans from design, development, fabric and trim sourcing, patternmaking, to costing and production. In addition to spending time developing Architexture, Christina is also a lead college instructor in the Fashion Merchandising program at the Art Institutes International – Kansas City. After attending fashion design school she went on to an extensive and successful career in product development and importing. Her career began as the product manager for a children’s wear company in San Francisco. She then went to work in product development and importing for major apparel companies including Marshall Field's, Dayton's, Hudson's, Ashworth Golf, Nicklaus Golf, Lee Jeans and more. She also served for three years on the board of the Fashion Group International -Kansas City as the membership chair.
