Lauren Bander

 

Lauren Bander is a women’s clothing line specializing in couture gowns and ready-to-wear dresses while beginning to introduce ready-to-wear separates. The designs are feminine and flirty, using lots of fabric to give extra movement and drape to each piece.

While each individual collection is inspired by different moments in the designer’s life, the overall feeling of the line is inspired by the city of Paris. The combination of these inspirations helps to bring a high-fashion feel to the line, and the everyday wear of women.

 

Bander has a passion for art and design. She loves being able to create works of art from fabric, and treats each design as such, a work of art. She graduated from Dominican University & studied abroad at The Paris American Academy. While in Paris she got the opportunity to study with many industry professionals including Jean Paul Gaultier’s milliner and Mme Gres’ seamstresses.

Lauren is making her name known after winning St. Louis Fashion Week’s Project: Design! in 2012. Soon after Project: Design! she debuted her first collection in New York Fashion Week.

 

She dreams of not only one day seeing her gowns grace the Red Carpet but through her designs she hopes to show that high fashion does not just come from places such as New York or Paris; it is here in the Midwest as well.
