Behind the Scenes | S/S '17 Model Castings

This past weekend KCFW wrapped our second open auditions for S/S '17 model castings. It was a packed house of nearly 500 women, children and menswear models auditioning to be a part of next season's shows, which will run from October 9th - 15th!
It's a pretty quick process for each audition. Each model is asked to provide their measurements, pose for their official KCFW headshot, and then show their best runway walk to a panel of designers, stylists, and KCFW committee members. Next, the accepted models will be added to the KCFW model roster and the designers will book their desired models for the shows.
Each season the crowd grows bigger, the shows become more elaborate, and the designers continue to impress with their talent and creativity. Modeling for the Kansas City Fashion Week runway is a huge amount of exposure and the biggest runway event in Kansas City!
